‘Identify Yourself ‘ is an initiation rite which will continue on this blog, and is going to happen soon here in
Bangalore, the other site of Labels. 

If you haven’t thought about it then do it now! Ask yourself who you are. Because in doing so you are opening the doors into a whirl-pool of discovery. 

I was asked to explain why I did this.  For now ‘Labels’ is an initiative that I’ve begun.

‘Identify Yourself ‘ is an event to   

a.get people to think about Identity.

This is in order for you to create a consciousness of self that is unique and which, in the next stage of this work will get us to make a narrative out of your life.

In this narrative we are going to cast you as an agent with choice, perspective and a voice.

Played out using performance, real time and online, this part real part fiction narrative idea will widen with each step that you take in that direction. These stories will employ totemic, mythical and magic motifs from your life, your personal history and community history.

The narrative will both embrace and work towards being comfortable with your self and those around you. 

b. To open out this project and invite collaboration, from fellow story-tellers, innovators and individuals interested in the idea.  Your answers are all part of a pool which will be used as this work progresses. Thank you for feeding this enquiry.We are going to make this happen!
